About the photo
On Slotsholmen in Copenhagen, King Christian IV built one of Copenhagen’s most famous buildings, Børsen – with the accompanying Dragon Spire, back in the 1620s. For centuries the building served as a commodity exchange with lively trading stalls. The spire is shaped like four dragons twisting their tails around each other. Three crowns can be found on top, which symbolizes the great Kingdom of Denmark, Norway and Sweden.
