Puffin Loving - Grøn
About this work
Year after year, tourists travel to the beautiful landscapes of the far north – only to spend a magical – albeit fleeting – moment with the small, curious and timid bird: the puffin. And year after year, the puffin returns to the colony in which it was hatched. It does this to reproduce in a safe and secure environment. While the number of tourists has increased, the puffin has become fewer in the northern regions. Pollution, habitat reduction and mass tourism have scared them away. In these regions, they are an essential part of biodiversity, as illustrated by the rainbow in these three paintings. The puffin will always be a reminder for ourselves to be as curious and respectful of nature as the puffin is.

When you order original works from Make Me Wonder, you can be sure that you are buying a high-quality product. Our watercolors are painted on 270 gram cotton sheets, which not only means that the watercolor does not fade over time, but also that the colors are expressed as much as possible. The watercolor is then allowed to sit on the sheet, before we carefully put it in our sustainable setting.
