Longings and loneliness
faith and forgiveness
A little lost, but very alive
About the photo
In the Faroese village of Viðareiði, this beautiful church lies right next to the sea, where it has stood since 1892. During construction, every single male in the parish was required to carry 24 rocks a year to the construction site. Viðareiði is considered to be one of the most breathtaking settlements in the Faroe Islands, mainly due to its unbelievable views of the surrounding islands.
