About the photo
Mykines’s lighthouse marks the westernmost point of the Faroe Islands. For more than more than one hundred years, this lighthouse has helped seafarers navigate safely. In most cultures, a lighthouse is a symbol marking the end of a dangerous journey, or a difficult time.
