About the photo
For more than a hundred years, Lyngvig Lighthouse has been a bright spot for the people of the sea, who has lived off the lushness of the North Sea. Although the whims of the Danish west coast have made its mark on the lighthouse, it has faithfully been navigated sailors in the right direction ever since the beginning: back home with today's catch; home to the awaiting family. The height of the lighthouse, the sparse 39 meters, is not at all the proof of the endless symbolism the lighthouse contains: hope... of getting safely into port - wherever that is in life.
