Raging gods and broken clouds
Sheltered hearts and healed souls
About the photo
Úti á Reyn is Tórshavns best preserved district, where some of the oldest houses can be traced all the way back to the 14th century. The area is filled with charming and idyllic Faroese houses, all built by solid craftsmanship, as has been tradition for centuries on the Faroe Islands. Since the first humans settled on the islands, it has been essential to be able to shelter yourself from the rage of the gods. The solid houses in Reyn have protected Faroese families against the whims of weather for hundreds of years.
